I got some beets from someone at work and I think I've already messed up cooking them. I skinned them before googling "how to prepare fresh beets" and apparently you're supposed to do that after they've been cooked. Oops.

Actually, I think one is supposed to *beat* one's beets.

mmmmmmm, beets.
My daughter (now 12) used to dislike them, until one evening I'd prepared dinner. At that meal, she raved on and on about how "Daddy's beets are better than Mommy's beets."
I guess I have a way with the can-opener, huh?
